Yesterday I got my El Laberinto del Fauno (Pan's Labyrinth) 2 disc special edition, so I can add it to my other collector editions of Guillermo del Toro movies *happyhappyjoyjoy*

There's something about this man's narrative-artistic style that I find completely absorbing. I remember back then when I first watched "Devil's Backbone" (which I still have to get) and fell in love with the story, even when I'm not much into horror movies, but it was so poetic with that prose-prologue. I don't have to tell you how the ending got me with that final line concluding the introduction in three simple words ♥

Hellboy one, well I love it for the creature design, the story is not exactly my favorite, but for Abe love, I had to have it. It's pretty awesome the character bios Del Toro made for the principal characters ( Hellboy got around 20 pages of detailed descriptions of how he grew up and what he likes and dislikes, including hating Abe's burps of rotten eggs xDD). Also, the 3D maquette gallery lets me ogle Abe's sculptural sculpture all I want 8DDD

Pan's Labyrinth, (which I must say I'd would have liked better to have used Faun's Labyrinth instead for the USA title) is of that movies you cannot say you've seen before. I mean, you have all these elements of a fairy tale, but they're juxtaposed to reality's gruesome brutality all the time, echoing each other. You have the princess, the ogre, the "treasure in a cave", the fairies, even the "woods folk" ( and I'm not talking of the faun) but they're taken in such a spin off you could almost slip them if you don't have an open mind for it. The story hits the audience feelings and the ending is plain beautiful. Not in the Disney-Hollywood beautiful style. There are things in this movie that could have NEVER seen the light if Del Toro had accepted to be produced from a Hollywood studio, and would not have made this movie what it is: a gorgeous piece of celluloid art .

Hellboy 2... is sooooo full of Del Toro's magic, I think I'll never end describing why I like it, but having to say as Memo likes to say, it doesn't only have eye candy, but lots of eye protein too. There are things to look at all the time and they have meanings for the story, like the color palette, the subliminal messages on the sets, the meanings of spacial distribution and scale, the references to other books or stories. Easter eggs GALORE x3~ Plus, plain funny moments to make me giggle like an idiot, with romance and angst to complement the experience xD
Something I noticed watching Pan's Labyrinth extra dvd, is that Princess Moanna comes from an underground kingdom called Bethmoora, which is the same from where the elven people of HB2 come too 8)

I could keep blabbing about but... I'm watching the lovely Fauno again *plays movie* it's Dougie timeee~~

You know I'm a sucker for these kind of things xD
I've taken 3 or 4 different versions of Myers-Briggs test based on Carl Jung's personality types and I always get the same result xD~ INTP

Now, into other things, I've been wanting to get into a exercise routine to tone myself up and try some cardio( being lazy on the pc do not helps Eri, noo) and yesterday I brought out my old bike.... but the thing is so messed... humm
I think for the time being I'll just stick up with my DDR dancing sessions xD all in the morning and before taking breakfast as recommended by this guy
